The group meets at the Hessle Methodist Church Hall,Tower Hill, Hessle, on the fourth Friday of the month, at 2pm sharp.

Around 20 of our members meet at 2pm on the fourth Friday in the month to compete for wonderful prizes (currently a very small bottle of wine for each member of the winning team).  The group has recently moved to the Parlour Room in the Tower Hill Methodist Church Hall (enter by the disabled access near the caretaker’s house).

The quiz usually includes a round on current affairs and anniversaries, a round of cryptic crossword style clues on a particular subject and some general knowledge.  The remainder is at the whim of the setter.  On the whole, we avoid “celebrities”, soaps, reality TV and pop music after ABBA.  Sometimes we have “mystery voice” rounds.

Teams are drawn by lot and so it is important to arrive on time.  Latecomers may end up in a team of one!  New players are welcome but please let me know of your intentions in advance so I can print enough copies of the “table-top” rounds.
